80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Celebration on Thursday 8th May 2025
Thursday 8th May 2025 is the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe, marking the end of the Second World War. The nation is asked to remember the impact that leaving, missing and returning home had on service men and women, as well as their loved ones.
As residents of Kings Clipstone Village, do come and join us and bring friends and family to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe at The Village Shed on the Village Field on Squires Lane, NG21 9BP.
Programme of Events
- 7:00pm – The field gates will be open. (Limited parking spaces only)
- Wartime Quiz
- Raffle
- Whisky Roll
- 9.30pm – Lighting of the Beacon followed by “I vow to thee my country” sing song
- Please bring your own drinks and nibbles (to share).
- Tea, coffee or cold drinks are available for a small donation to the Shed Fund.
- There will be space for those wanting to bring their own table chairs and picnic making it a real celebration.
- Any memorabilia, costumes or coins from the 1940’s would be interesting to share.
